Hoo-rag Review and Giveaway

The Hoo-rag. It’s more than just a catchy name. The brand is making noise across many platforms; fishing, biking, snow sports and even a couple other specialties such as Hoo-rags for your personal chef and  your four-legged best friend.

So what is a Hoo-rag? The Jupiter, Florida company specializes in producing lightweight head and neck garments that protect people from all sorts of crazy weather – sun, wind, rain, hail, snow, dust, and flying fish.

Really. Did you see Aaron Martens get slapped by the very fish he caught in the 2012 Bassmaster Classic? Should have been wearing a Hoo-rag Aaron!

What impresses me most about Hoo-rag is the fact that it is a seamless tube of material. You can wear it over your face without getting scratches, you can wear it under a hat or helmet, and you can use it to repel sweat or maintain your body temperature in cold weather. Hoo-rag explains the many uses on their website here and I urge you to take a quick peek at all of the functional uses. The Hoo-rag is a multi-tasker that makes a great gift to anyone needing protection, survival gear or for general activity.

Most people in the Pacific Northwest live here due to our exquisite seasonal changes. Our four seasons are truly dynamic. A person who snowmobiles in the Winter most likely finds time for the lake in the Summer and most base their lives around these seasonal hobbies. The Hoo-rag is a product that is light enough and small enough to pack for any activity on any trip, no matter your distance from home. As a Doomsday Prepper expert would say, bugging out with a Hoo-rag helps your X-Factor score of at least 15-out-of-20.

The designs are increasing every week and Hoo-rag has many popular designs that match outdoor apparel with sporty prints, military style options and bold looks to help you blend in or stand out  depending on your personality. Trust me when I say, if you know of an angler who fishes in all weather, a Hoo-rag is the perfect choice for skin protection at an unbelievable price of $14.95.

A winner has been chosen! Cameron (Comment #2) is now the owner of the Dark Digital Hoo-rag. Congrats!

So wait – what about a giveaway? Hoo-rag and FHC Outdoors wants to hook you up! In light of Christmas and the giving season, there’s only one way to settle this. Fill out a comment below and tell us what sport this Hoo-rag could help you master. Is it bass fishing, snowmobiling, skiiing, or snowboarding? How about badminton? Wife carrying? (It’s a real sport by the way)
